Taste of Coastal Carolina!

Make your plans now to attend the 9th Annual Taste of Coastal Carolina... Tuesday, March 13, 2012 Taste of Coastal Carolina is an annual event where the community comes together to celebrate the best flavors of our local restaurants. Why go to one restaurant when you can go to over 20 in one night? This year’s event features signature dishes from several new restaurants: Rebecca’s Gourmet Café, Antonio’s, the Wild Cupcake, Jenn & Sami’s Bella Cucina and Le Bistro and the Art Gallery. In addition, enjoy amazing dishes from last year’s winners; Chef Gerry Fong of Persimmons Restaurant, Chef Tom Pristash of Christoph’s on the Water, Lisa Hawkins of Sea Glass Café  and Chef Smoke Boyd of The Flame. Location: New Bern Convention Center, 203 South Front Street  New Bern, NC Proceeds from Taste of Coastal Carolina benefit the work of the Neuse RIVERKEEPER Foundation in an effort to advocate for, educate about and protect clean water in the Neuse River basin. TICKETS AVAILABLE AT MITCHELL HARDWARE!

Lion's Club Brooms are Back!

Remember the Lion's Club brooms we used to see every year?
Well... They're back! And Mitchell Hardware will be the exclusive sponsor and retail distribution point, with a Grand Event on April 13th & 14th, 2013!

We are so excited to be able to help the visually-impaired in this way. It just feels real good. And... 100% of sales go directly to the visually-impaired right here in Craven and Pamlico Counties! More info to come. Stay tuned. We're busy getting it all together. It will take a few more days, but it's worth the wait.
It's a good thing. It's local. And it's going to be lots of FUN!
